telltalegames this is like. 100x better than what you did to her
Arvo barely shivered in the cold, he was use to it from back home, where temperatures could be an average of below freezing. Keeping up with the other boy to the best of his ability, he clung to his brace poles. Thankfully it wasn’t far… But it still felt like too much.
A two story house was a good idea, seeing as you could block off the top and then be relatively safe from walkers. Taking to the couch quickly, he cursed softly as he straightened out his leg, resting it up on the cushions. Quickly he began to inspect the damage on his brace.
It hadn’t been destroyed. Thank god, but it had come loose, ” I do not know… I am, неуверенный, unsure, I… ” He found a thin bend in the metal, ” I think I need a new one… ” Which he couldn’t get, so he would have to repair to the best of his ability. This was not his area of expertise though. Computers, electronics, even medical things he could do. But basic mechanics? Not so much…
" The metal is becoming weaker. It was only suppose to last me a year, but it has lasted two, I do not think it can go on much longer. " He would be stranded without it though, " Unless… you know a way? "
"I’m not very good at that sort of thing…"
He pondered for a moment and if his dad taught him anything about mechanics it was that tape usually fixed anything.
"How ‘bout ducktape? Maybe we can replace the metal with the couch springs?"
Travis said uncertain on how to go about it.
"Just an idea."
If telltale doesn’t confirm Clem as a lead character in season three I’m going to kill someone
Arvo had to resist a whine when he was pulled up, because to be honest, it hurt. His leg was usually in a brace for a reason, he needed that to keep it from falling apart! Now the tendons felt pulled by the weight of it, and he grabbed his pants leg with his free hand, hoping to keep some sort of pressure on it.
” дерьмо… I am… Just keep walking… ” He murmured, hobbling along, trying to tense his weaker leg, keep it straight, work, though it did not work well. He kept an eye out when he could, but hoped they would not run into any trouble going to where ever it was Travis had his home built.
"I just left so it’s not far at all."
He told Arvo, hoping he wasn’t hurting too much. The bundle of look-a-like houses came into their view. Travis gave a small sigh of relief, though he didn’t get any food he was glad to get out of the snow.
Before the apocalypse, Ben and he used to love having snowball fights. Now he didn’t really have a nice warm house and cup of hot chocolate to go back to and his best friend was long gone.
"The snow kinda sucks… The house is right up here."
The house was a nice two-story home, Travis enjoyed how similar it was to his back in Georgia. He opened the door, walked Arvo over the couch and sat him down. Rushing back to the front door, closing it and blocking it like he always did.
"What’s the damage? Can you fix it?"
" Почему я? ” He muttered to himself, looking so absolutely distraught, shaking his head. Arvo wasn’t even sure he could fix his brace, for all he knew it was beyond repair and he was as good as dead! But he had to try.
Peering up at the other, he nodded his head lightly, shifting around. He had to be careful with what was left of his brace, as he grabbed the straps that held it on, carefully taking it off. Carrying it was the only option, he couldn’t let it drag or it might get worse for wear, ” Yes, I can. ” He got to his knees, or knee really, he used his brace to keep himself from leaning on his other leg too much. The other leg just bent weird and was dead weight without his brace. Holding out his arm for the other to help him up, he kept his head lowered in shame.
Travis put the others arm around his shoulder and held the others waist. He slowly stood up, luckily, Arvo was pretty thin so it wasn’t much trouble. Hopefully, Arvo’s gunshot didn’t attract any other walkers it would be hard to shoot them or run away.
"Alright, let’s get outta here."
He said and began walking, making sure to go a comfortable pace for Arvo.
"Tell me if I’m going to fast and stay alert. You may have alerted someone or something other than me."
He was cursing in his native tongue, struggling to get the bullet into the chamber, when suddenly running foot steps were heard. Head whipping around, he saw Travis coming his way and the older boy made quick work dispatching the walker. Arvo practically slumped in relief, ” ой да.. Or… нет, no, I… My brace. ”
It was broken at the foot support, it looked like it just came unhooked but… It was usually tight on there, it had to have snapped, he needed to fix it but he could not do that here, ” I.. ” He should ask for help. Did he have the humility to though? Being pitied was the last thing he wanted, ” I need help. ” But he wouldn’t let himself die.
"Okay, well I don’t know how to fix that sort of thing but I can at least bring you to a safe place. The house I’m staying at isn’t far from here."
He explained, kneeling down next to the other.
"Can you walk if you lean on me? I’m not sure if I can carry you but I can try."
